3rd-Grade School Teacher, Automotive Detailer, & Product Entrepreneur Expands Microfiber Towel Business Nationally

SANTA BARBARA, CA June 18, 2018 — There is nothing elementary about third-grade school teacher Robert Regan, entrepreneur, and owner of Towel Pros Microfiber Specialists, a company he started in 1995 after realizing microfiber fabric was the perfect solution for the automotive industry to prevent scratches, streaks, and water spots. After more than 20 years as one of the largest sellers of microfiber towels west of the Mississippi River, Regan announces a huge expansion of Towel Pros with the opening of four distribution centers across the U.S. in New Jersey, Texas, Washington, and later this fall in Florida.

In addition to teaching third-grade at Monte Vista School in Santa Barbara, he owns yet a second business there, Santa Barbara Auto Detailing. Regan is an experienced high-end detailer who was a member of the 2013 Air Force One Detailing Team at Seattle’s Museum of Flight.

“I understood early in my detailing career the importance of using soft, absorbent material for cleaning automobiles and precious surfaces, something that was durable but did not leave lint or microfine scratches,” he says. “With Towel Pros, I perfected the durable, absorbent microfiber fabric, which is capable of absorbing seven times its weight in soil or liquid, making it ideal for cleaning surfaces like car paint, glass, metal, countertops, vinyl, and ceramics that are susceptible to fine scratches, holograms, smudges, streaks, and water spots.”

Regan has opened an East Coast distribution center at Dirty Harry’s Detailing in Rochelle Park, NJ to handle sales from the eastern seaboard west to the Mississippi River. Owner Harry Sandwith will also open a second center in Cape Coral, Florida later this fall. Caleb Robbins of CTR Auto Spa in Odessa, TX will manage sales in Texas and the southwest region of the U.S.; and Bill Quinn of Bill the Buff Man in Ephrata, WA will manage a smaller sales region that includes Washington, Oregon, and Utah. Regan will continue to manage sales to California and the Pacific West region.

Towel Pros specializes in four types of microfiber towels including highly absorbent waffle weave drying towels that eliminate water streaks and spots; edgeless, tagless, paint towels in a variety of thicknesses guaranteed not to leave marks on car paint; thin glass towels made to pick up chemicals and contaminants on windows and mirrors without leaving streaks and water spots; and a variety of all-purpose towels that are perfect for cleaning ceramic coatings, wheels, door jambs, bumpers, and car interiors – as well as for dusting and cleaning home furnishings, countertops, glass and windows, and large vehicle interiors like RVs, trailers, and boats. With its versatility, Regan believes Towel Pros can expand again one day into the commercial cleaning and janitorial industry.

Furthermore, the towels are color-coded so they can be organized according to use, shape, size, texture, softness, toughness, absorption, water repellency, electrostatics, and filtering capabilities. Towel Pros also carries a variety of detailing accessories such as grit guards, clay bars, and microfiber wash mitts, etc.

Testimonials

The towels are awesome, but Rob is even better! Honestly, I don't know if I can say enough good things about Rob and his customer service. I am just an enthusiast washer, not a professional, and this was my first ever purchase. I browsed the site and gathered a cart of items I was interested in, not knowing if what I had was a "good" range or not. On a whim, I figured that I would text Rob with screenshots of my cart and ask his opinion on the range of items, hoping he would get back to me within a day or so. To my astonishment, he immediately replied and said he was on it. Within minutes we exchanged a bunch of texts and finalized what was best for my needs. Awesome! I've heard he was fast, but with 20 MINUTES of me placing my order, my order was already shipped! Holy cow, I thought. Once it finally arrived, I was very excited to open the package, prewash everything and get going. Every towel I tried was awesome! From the blue waffle dry towel, to the 800 gsm super soft, to the glass towels, I am extremely happy with my purchases. And, on top of that, Rob even threw in some extra general use towels so I could save the good ones for paint. As I said when I started this review, Rob was absolutely awesome to work with. When I'm in the market for some more towels, I certainly will be buying again!
